January 28, 1980
57
Mr. Jaworski moved to set a public hearing on the Forest Glen Plat for
March 10, 1980 at 8:45 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared
1 passed.
Mr. Jaworski felt that the Planning adn Zoning Board should be notified
that in the future, all materials sue on the plat must be available before
a public hearing is set.
Mr. Schumacher questioned the rate for Park Dedication - the Council said
this is not a question. The rate for this plat is $1500.00 per acre.
Mr. Roy Stanley had requested a variance for lot splits. This is splitting
the buildable portion of a lot from the ponding area. There was discussion
as to who owns this ponding area and whose responsibility it is to maintain
this ponding area. The many facets of this problem was discussed with two
areas being considered — either deny the aplit or request a deed for the
pond. Mr. Stanley pointed out there are several ponding areas in the Sunset
Oaks Plat and that he is willing to write a deed to the City for all the
poiding2areas. The Council felt that perhaps this is the best method to
handle the ponding areas - all ponding areas con be put on one deed.
Mr. Jaworski moved to table cosnideration of these variances until the deed
for the ponding areas is received. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion
declared passed.
The Wollan Estates was considered next. The Planning and Zoning took no
action on this plat. This will come before the Planning and Zoning at
their February meeting. The same applied for the Lino Industrial Park Plat.
The Sunset Oaks 2nd Addition feasibility plan was discussed. This is in
an area planned for industrial development. The platting for residential
development was questioned. Since this is only a dketch, Mr. Schumacher
questioned the expense of developing a preliminary plat, send to Engineer,
and Planner and the, perhaps, denying residential development in that area.
Mr. Stanley will consider the Council's suggestions.
Mr. Richard Barrot applied for permission to store vehicles in the rear of
his garage. The Planning and Zoning Board requested Mr. Barrot to go back
and get permission from his neighbors. Mr. McLean felt to allow car
storage for any person other thant residents in the service, would be a
mistake. This matter had been tabled at the Planning and Zoning level -
no action is required by this Council.
The final plat of Pine Oaks was considered. Mr. Locher had done a title
search and felt there is a marketable title. The mineral reservations,
the existing ditch Lein that must be satisfied, also, the pipeline easement.
There is to be cash in leiu of land in the amount of 7.9 x $1100.00= $8690.00.
Mr. McLean moved to authorize the signing of this plat, with the provision
that the Park dedication money be in before the mylar copies are signed.
Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed.
The Council was to consider the request of the Centennial School District
for assistance for their summer recreation program. There was some discussion
on this matter. The point that these requests should be presented to the
City Council in June in order to be considered at budget time. It was
suggested a decision be delayed until the financial statement has been
discussed.
