74 March 24, 1980 had called about an internship for a student at that University. He presented the information to the Council for their consideration. There would be no cost to the City other than a small amount the City might want to give for expenses. This would be in the area of $200.00. Mr. McLean moved to adjourn at 9:40 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Jaworskl, Motion carried unanimosuly. These minutes were considered and approved at the regular Council meeting held April 14, 1980. x Edna L. Sarner, Clerk- Treasurer April 14, 1980 The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at 7:32 P.M., on April 14,1980, by Mayor Gourley. Council members pre - sent; Elsenpeter, Jaworski, Kulaszewicz, McLean. Absent; None. Mr. Schumacher was present, Mr. Locher was absent, due to illness. On considering the Minutes of March 24, 1980, they were declared approved as presented. The disbursements as listed were considered. Tere were several questions which were answered. Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to approve the disburse- ments. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Steve Messerli, representing the Circle Pines Lions Club asked to use Sunrise Park on September 6/7, 1980 to conduct a fund raising event. This would be called Sandburr Days and would be basically the same as last year. He was aaked if the format would be the same as last year amd Mr. Messerli said there could possibly be more events - the format isn't set as yet but will be presented to the Council for their approval when it is finalized. Mr. McLean moved to approve this use subject to the Lions Club providing the necessary insurance, obtaining a beer permit and supplying the City Council with a format of the activities planned. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Mr. Marier asked who would be responsible for cleaning the Park after this had been completed. Mr. Messerli said the Lions Club rents a dump - ster and the Park is cleaned by that organization. Mr. McLean added that the Lions Club he held responsible for the clean up in the Park. This was seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Gerald Illg appeared before the Council asking that the Ordinance governing the placement of mobile homes on private property be amended to allow them to place a mobile home on five acres of land they own along Pine Street. She cited the cost of homes at the present time and the interest rates. She felt that they own land and they own the mobile home and should be allowed to live on their own property. They have the home in Restwood Terrace at the present time.
