April 14, 1980 <br />79 <br />Mayor Gourley noted the chages, 1) change the word 'shallf to '',masse 2) change <br />the word 'eill' to 'may'; 3) eliminate the 15% designation on the portion <br />of allowable smaller lots; 4) change the designation of the lands located <br />North of the Centerville line, bordered on the West by Peltier Lake Drive <br />and on the East by 20th Avenue and on the North by 77th Street - this land <br />to be designated as "R "; 5) insert a statement to the effect that the City <br />anticipates the need for sewers in the Southeast portion of the City on <br />either side of the Freeway by 1990. This does not exclude the previous <br />statement on page 14, this is to be an additional statement. <br />This motion was seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />The sample street lighting ordinance was to be considered, but, since <br />either Mr. Locher or Mr. Gotwald was present, it was suggested that any <br />action on this be delayed until the next meeting. <br />Mr. Schumacher briefly outlined what this ordinance implies and the com- <br />parisons as to costs. The matter of the type of insurance to be required <br />will be delayed until Mr. Locher is here. <br />Mr. Locerh is absent - no Attorney's Report. <br />On considering the list of rezoning and special use permits existing, the <br />status of these had been broken down into the ones being used and the ones <br />that are inactive. <br />It will be necessary to hold a public hearing to revoke these permits and <br />lirrezonings. This hearing was set for June 9, 1980 at 8:00 P.M. Mr. McLean <br />moved, seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. This hearing <br />will need to be advertised. <br />The consideration of amending Ord. #56 and Ord. #26 was tabled until Mayor <br />Gourley has a chance to prepare an amendment. This deals with the keeping <br />of animals and what constitutes a farm. <br />The proposals for gas extensions for North Central and Circle Pines utility <br />was considered. The one for North Central inot the School Addition was <br />considered first. Mr. McLean moved to approve this request. Seconded by <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. <br />The City's suggestion that the Circle Pines utilite be allowed to service <br />Lots 18 through 23, and Lot 8, Rice Lake Add. #3 was considered. This has <br />been discussed with North Central Public Service and they have agreed this <br />is the most frasible method to service these lots. Mr. Jaworski moved to <br />approve this suggestion. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared <br />passed. <br />On considering the establishment of a lsit of consultants for dealing with <br />special problems of the City, Mr. Schumacher felt the City should take a <br />look at some of the specialists amd ne aware pf the servoces tjat are pffered <br />and just how this City could benefit. Mr. McLean moved to authorize Mr. <br />Schumahcer to pursue this matter. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion <br />litdeclared paseed. <br />The matter of the City signs was considered. Mr. Schumacher presented <br />some alternatives with adjusted cost figures. The genreal consensus of <br />the Council was to go with the standard signs. <br />
