90 <br />April 28, 1980 <br />Consideration of the Hand Bill Ordinance as presented by Mrs. Elsenpeter. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to table. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Consideration of Susan Sears to the vacancy on the Park Board. Mrs. <br />Elsenpeter moved to approve this appointment. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. <br />Motion,carriedtunanimously. <br />Consideration of the March financial report. Mr. Schumacher explained briefly. <br />Mayor Gourley said he had gone through this report and found no problems. <br />Mr. Schumacher pointed out that over $40,000.00 in interest has been earned <br />the, first quarter of this year. There was discussion on the different aspects <br />of this report,. with Mr. Schumacher explaining the discrepancies. <br />Under new business, the subject of a mining permit fee was discussed. There <br />had been a mining permit fee schedule set up by Resolution - $100.00 plus 150 <br />per yard; (5/29/73 - 8/28/72.) <br />The next request was from the Fire Chief in Lexington who had suggested an <br />open house to view the fire fighting equipment. The request is for this <br />Council to select a date for this function. This was set for May 18, 1980 <br />from 1:00 p.m. Mr. Schumacher will set this up. <br />The Boy�Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts spent the week end cleaning up <br />the road sides. Mayor Gourley will find who the letter should be addressed <br />and inform the Clerk. A letter of thanks to be sent. <br />Mayor Gourley reported on a meeting with County officials to discuss their <br />plans for the new jail - to be completed in approximately 18 months - faced <br />with the overcrowed conditions in the present building - the plan presented <br />was to take over the three cottages at the Prison facilities. They proposed <br />to takeover the cottages used by the girls and then use that facility for <br />persons on the Huber program. <br />The County has negotiated an extension of the lease with the State until <br />July 1891. The County indicated they would cooperate with the City on <br />additional risks or liabilities. Mr. Schumacher was asked to pull together <br />some figures that represent costs in relationship to police calls and present <br />this to the County. This to include past costs. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to approve this action. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The matter of. the LAWCON Grant application was discussed. Mr. Schumacher <br />discussed has position on this matter. He felt that Mrs. Elsenpeter could <br />bring up additional information and change her vote on that matter at this <br />time. <br />Discussion of the access to this lake and how this could be controlled. The <br />general idea was that after a certain number of boats are throught the ramp, <br />then the ramp is closed. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
