1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />April 28, 1980 <br />8g <br />A special use permit request for Gehrman Storage Building. No one present <br />to represent this firm. Mr. Jaworski said he had looked at this property <br />and it is on the North side of the bus barns. It was felt this should be <br />rezoned for Tight industrial - useage. Mr. McLean moved to table this matter <br />for more information. Seconded by Mrs. Elsenpeter. Motion carried unanimously. <br />The special use permit for a repair shop on 62nd Street. Mr. Emly was not <br />present. After some discussion on this matter, Mr. McLean moved to table <br />for more information. Seconded by Mr Jaworski. Motion carried unanimously. <br />The next item was a special use permit for the expansion of Skyline Autobody. <br />Mr. St .humaChar presented the proposed improvements as proposed. This to in- <br />clude screening fencing for the rear of the property. Parking will be in the <br />front of the buildings. They also plan to remodel the front of the buildings <br />to face them in brick. Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve this request. <br />This operation is to make one car out of two or three and they would like <br />permission to sell the, left over parts. Mr. McLean suggested this work be <br />done within the next three years. Mayor Gourley suggested two years and if <br />it is not finished within that period, come for an extension. The owners <br />agreed. Mr. McLean also asked that this not include an outside sale lot. <br />Mayor Gourley was concerned that the junk cars would come in and never leave. <br />Mr. Locher cautioned the owners about the filling of the lands in the rear <br />of the lots, they have already consulted the Corps of Engineers on this <br />matter and are aware of the. problems. They were questioned on the disposal <br />of the waste oils and such and the Council was told this material is mostly <br />burned. <br />The amendments were accepted and seconded. Motion carried unanmously. Mayor <br />Gourley reminded Mr. Olson there will be a review. on this permit one year. <br />from July. <br />The next item on the agenda was the application of MarDon Homes for rezoning. <br />There was no one present to represent the company. Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to <br />table until a representative was present. Mayor Gourley asked to amend to <br />table this, until a letter of Credit was received. Seconded by Mr. McLean. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />A special use permit for the placing of a mobile home on private property had <br />been submitted by Mrs. IIIg. Mr. Schumacher reported this special; use permit <br />had been requested by the Council to be processed through the normal channels. <br />The Ordinance governing the placement of mobile homes within this City was <br />reviewed. <br />This proposal was to place, this mobile home on five acres abutting Pine <br />street, for a period of five years. The Planning and Zoning Board had re- <br />commended this request be denied. <br />Mr. McLean moved to deny this request. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Anoka County Historical Society had requested funds. Mr. McLean moved to <br />table this until budget hearings. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion <br />carried with Mayor Gourley voting, No. <br />
