Council Meeting <br />June 16, 1980 <br />Page 3 <br />The Council requested Mr. Carley to incorporate their suggestions into a <br />revised study and have ready for the June 30, 1980 special Council meeting. <br />The. Public Hearing on the, Lakes Add. #6 plat was called to order at 9:15 P.M. <br />Mr. Schumacher presented the affadivate of publication. This plat has been <br />submitted to RCWB and that body has .listed the items that must be complied <br />with for approval. The Planning and Zoning had considered this plat at the <br />May 22, 1980 meeting and recommended approval of the preliminary plat. Mr. <br />Short had been concerned with the drainage easement on the South line of the <br />lot but this had been eliminated. The Engineer had questioned the same <br />drainage easement. There are 11 lots and all conform to Ordinance require- <br />ments. The Park lands requirements have been satisfied. <br />There was some discussion of the sewer service to'these Tots - there must <br />be some changes - a'second lateral will need to be installed. 'There had <br />been some preliminary plans to do some work - will wait and do it all at <br />once. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to approve the preliminary plat of Lakes Add. #6. <br />Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Gourley noted that the Public- Hearing notice on .Ord. No. 56M had not <br />been published in time for the scheduled hearing on June 16, 1980. He <br />asked that this hearing be reset. Mr. McLeari moved to reset this hearing <br />for June 30, 1980 at 9:00 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Schumacher presented the Council with a :list of copy machine with figures <br />on several different Brands for comparision. Mr. Schumacher explained that al- <br />though this is not in the budget, he felt the purchase of a new machine would <br />save this City some expense - 1) in the purchase price at this time and 2) in <br />the cost of supplies. <br />He discussed the advantages of the Xerox - the machine he is recommending <br />for purchase at this time <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter asked how this would be paid for - it was suggested that a <br />monthly payment be worked out for the remainder of 1980 and the balance be <br />put in the 1981 budget. Mr. McLean asked if the interest could be pro -rated <br />and Mr. Schumacher said, Yes. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to purchase the Xerox 3100 with the stipulation that <br />Balance & Contract be considered in the 1981 budget and that the interest be <br />pro- rated. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Schumacher presented Mr. Kluegel's proposal for a window to be installed <br />in the buildin inspector's office. Mr. McLean moved to table this request <br />until the budget hearings. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski'. Motion carri=ed unanimously. <br />There was discussion on the controversy of the building owned by Mr. Ross, <br />Sr. It Was been suggested that an independent appraises be hired to establish <br />
