CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 4A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Swenson, Chief of Police <br />MEETING DATE: April 28, 2014 <br />TOPIC: Emergency Management Plan <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />In order to ensure that the City of Lino Lakes is prepared to respond effectively in the event of <br />a natural disaster an Emergency Management Plan was created in 2007. This plan is reviewed <br />annually by staff to ensure that it is up to date. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Members of the police department have reviewed the entire Emergency Management Plan and <br />have made minor modifications to reflect current staffing positions, laws, and dates. Two <br />copies of this plan were emailed to all City Council members on April 22, 2014 for review. On <br />copy highlighted the revisions made by staff and the second copy is final version of the 2014 <br />Emergency Management Plan. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of the Emergency Management Plan. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Due to the sensitive and private information contained in the Emergency Management Plan, it <br />will not be posted on the City of Lino Lakes website. All members of the City Council and all <br />Directors have received an email with a complete copy of the Emergency Management Plan. <br />
