1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />December 22, 1980 <br />A special meeting is set for January 13, 1981 at 7:30 P.M. for this purpose. <br />On considering the City Attorney, there is to be no fee increases for the coming year. <br />The Mayor appointed Babcock, Locher, etc. as the City's consulting Attorney. There <br />were no objections. <br />Barton - Aschman was appointed by Mayor Gourley as the City's consulting Planner. There <br />were no objections. <br />Mayor Gourley noted that the Sewer Service Area Advisory Board had been reactivated <br />and has asked for a representative from thai City as a member. Mayor Gourley appointed <br />Mr. Harvey Karth to that Board. There were no objections. <br />The Community Block Grant Advisory Committee has one member - Mr. Harvey Karth - Mayor <br />Gourley had contacted Mr. Robert Doocy who had agreed to serve on this Committee. <br />There were no objections to this appointment. <br />Mayor Gourley noted that a Cable Communications Advisory Committee had been authorized <br />and there is a need for five members on this board. Mr. Herb Johnson had expressed a <br />desire to serve on that committee. Mayor Gourley appointed Mr. Johnson to that Committee. <br />After some discussion, Mayor Gourley appointed Mr. Ben Benson to serve on that Committee. <br />There is a need for three more persons. <br />The Park Board was considered. MayorGourley reported that Mr. Tom Shaughnessy had de- <br />clined to be reappointed. Mr. Donald Volk had consented to serve on this Board. Mayor <br />Gourley appointed Mr. Volk for a three year term. Mr. Johnson and Mr. Crouse have terms <br />that expire at the end of 1980 and he would repppoint these two for three year terms. <br />Mayor Gourley said Mrs. Liljedahl wishes to resign from the Park Board however, he still <br />does not have a letter of resignation. This will be delayed at this time. Mr. Karth <br />noted that Mr. Kenneth Candiotti had expressed an interest in serving on the Park Board. <br />Mayor Gourley will contact him. <br />The next Board to be considered was the Planning and Zoning Board. There are three mem- <br />bers whose terms expire; Mr. Reinert, Mr. Doocy and Mr. Prokop. <br />Mr. Jaworski reported than he had had a phone call this evening from a citizen who felt <br />that Mr. Reinert had done a good job on this Board. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter presented the name of Jan Klaus as a possible member to that Board. Mrs. <br />Klaus lives on the Danube in the Pine Haven Plat. She has training in residential plan- <br />ning. Mrs. Elsenpeter recommended that Mrs. Klaus replace Mr. Reinert. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz arrived at 8:30 P.M. <br />Mr. Benson asked if it was not the policy of the Council that if a member whose terms <br />expires and that members expresses a desire to continue to serve - isn't he reappointed? <br />Mr. Benson said he had been at a meeting where Mr. Reinert had expressed his willingness <br />to continue to serve as a member of the Planning and Zoning Board. <br />Mayor Gourley said, to answer the first part of the question, an automatic reappoint- <br />ment is not the policy - members may be removed at the discreation of the Council. <br />Llr.
