COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 10, 1986 <br />Page Six <br />Mr. Ross from the audience told the Council they were on the right <br />track because the RCWD will have established a district and deter- <br />mine who will be benefited by the ditch maintenance project. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to send a letter to RCWD requesting an answer <br />by March 24, 1986 letting the City know exactly what they are com- <br />mitting themselves to and asking that a representative from the <br />RCWD, Anoka County and the Developer of Sherwood Green be present <br />at the March 24, 1986 meeting. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Mo- <br />tion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Toddie noted the RCWD is meeting on Wednesday, March 12, 1986 <br />and Mayor Benson suggested the letter be hand delivered so it would <br />be there for that meeting. <br />D. 80th Street Report - Mr. Volk and Mr. Toddie have met with John <br />Olson of Anoka County and reviewed the right -of -way requirements and <br />he has now received a map showing the proposed right -of -way. He <br />will continue to develop the plans and specifications and anticipates <br />construction during the 1987 season. He expects plans to be avail- <br />able for Council review in late 1986. <br />Mr. Marier asked if there was any room to negotiate for lesser right - <br />of -way. Mr. Toddie said yes and explained the areas. He also ex- <br />plained the City will obtain a road way easement over the utility <br />easement of the United Power Association <br />Mr. Toddie will prepare a final right -of -way map and give it to the <br />City Attorney and negotiate agreements. <br />E. Chomonix Golf Course Water Storage Location Report - Mr. Toddie <br />has met with Mr. Torkildson of the Anoka County Parks Department re- <br />garding locating a municipal water storage facility in the Chain of <br />Lakes Open Space near the Chomonix Golf Course. Mr. Torkildson <br />agreed with the concept and explained his need for a future reliable <br />water source for the Golf Course. Mr. Toddie explained there could <br />be a trade off in this area but saw no need to proceed until the <br />need for the facility arises. <br />Mr. Toddie explained the new proposed entry to the Golf Course from <br />Lake Drive and also indicated a possible location for a water storage <br />facility. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Set Board of Review - April 21, 1986 - Mr. Bohjanen movF' et <br />the Board of Review for April 21, 1986 at 7:00 P.M. Mr. Ma sec- <br />onded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
