104 <br />COUNCIL METING <br />May 27, 1986 <br />Page Fifteen <br />SECOND READING ORDINANCE 1102 - 86, LOT PROVISIONS <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve the second reading of Ordinance <br />#02 - 86 and dispense with the reading. Mr. Marier seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that the Metropolitan Council is upgrad- <br />ing their framework and the Task Force will be providing some <br />comments to Met Council. The Task Force comments will include <br />enlarging the boundaries of the urban service district. Mr. Mar - <br />ier asked that the Task Force comments be returned to the Task <br />Force for further study. <br />The Council will meet with the Task Force at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday <br />June 4, 1986 and this item can be discussed at that time. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Accepting Joseph Sacco's Resignation From The Park Board and <br />Authorization to Advertise for Replacement - Mr. Marier moved to <br />accept Mr. Sacco's resignation and send a letter of thanks. Mr. <br />Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. Marier moved to advertise the open Park Board position. Mr. <br />Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. Marier moved to compile a list of costs on West Shadow Lake <br />Drive due to the flooding and authorized Mr. Schumacher to ap- <br />ply for emergency funds for reimbursement of expenditures due <br />to the recent flooding. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Benson noted the letter he received from the Civil Defense <br />Director requesting payment of wages for Ciitil Defense personnel <br />who operated the shuttle during the flooding. He noted if this <br />were granted it would in effect be a policy change. Mayor Bern n <br />suggested including this in the costs submitted for reimbursem. t. <br />Mr. Marier moved to adjourn at 10:20 P.M. Mr. Bohjanen seconde <br />the motion.
