170
COUNCIL MEETING
August 25, 1986
:?age Two
Mr. Schumacher explained that the property taxes will increase an
average of $22.00 per year. Mrs. Anderson gave the residents a
copy of a printout supplied by the City property assessor indica-
ting the estimated increase in value of each residence.
Mr. Schumacher told the residents the interest rate on potential
assessments would be approximately 81%.
A resident asked what the annual assessment would be on each lot.
Mr. Schumacher told him this has not been calculated.
There was indication that some residents wanted sewer but not wa-
ter. Mr. Schumacher suggested that these residents present a-pe -
tition to the City indicating their desire and also sign a petition
waiving their right to appeal the assessment.
Mr. Swanson asked if service could be run to the rear of a residence.
Mr. Stallberg said it could but clean outs would have to be in-
stalled at each bend.
A resident on the southern portion of Sunset Road asked if she
had to hook up to the sewer and water. She has a new well and sep-
tic system. She was told that there will be a curb and street
assessment of $1,030.00 and when she decides to hook up to the
utility facilities there will be a one time hook up charge of
$4,200.00 adjusted for interest and possibly other fees. If she
wanted to pay this on her taxes she must accept the assessment
at the time the City bonds for the project.
Mr. Marier moved to adopt Resolution *33 -86 to furnish the six
northerly lots with sewer and water with the option in writing
from the last three lots indicating whether they want sewer and /or
:cater and the third lot according to an agreement of the Blaine
Engineer and property owners. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion.
Motion declared passed.
The Council asked that Mr. Livingston be the spokesman for the
northerly six lot owners and these lot owners will let Mr. Schu-
macher know their decision regarding what utility each lot owner
is interested in.
CITY OF LINO LAKES
Resolution 433 - 86
A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS FOR
NORTHERLY SIX LOTS ON SUNSET ROAD
1
1
