1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />187 <br />SPECIAL JOINT MEETING <br />..ugust 27, 1986 <br />Page Four <br />made note that should the City allow Rice Lake Estates the require- <br />ments spelled out in the current ordinance, this would have a <br />major affect on the tax increment financing project which the City <br />is currently trying to put together. <br />Mr. Prokop voiced his concern that the original intent in naming <br />Rice Lake Estates a R -7 zone was to provide affordable homes on <br />smaller lots and streets, and to vary from the original intent <br />would not only set a precedent, but also the homes would not be <br />the affordable home intended and the lots and streets would be <br />sub - standard. <br />This issue was not resolved at this meeting. The recommendation <br />by the majority of those in attendance was that if there is any way <br />to allow the nicer quality, nicer looking homes proposed, that is <br />the favorable option.
