005 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 9, 1987 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order <br />at 7:17 P.M. by Mayor Benson. Members present: Bisel, Marier, <br />Bohjanen, Reinert. Attorney John Burke was sitting in for City <br />Attorney, Bill Hawkins; Engineer, Ron Stahlberg; Public Works <br />Director, Don Volk; Building Inspector, Pete Kluegel and. Clerk - <br />Treasurer, Marilyn Anderson were also present. City Administrator, <br />Randy Schumacher arrived later in the meeting. <br />STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS <br />Mayor Benson presented the State of the City Address. A complete text: <br />will be found at the end of these minutes. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />February 23. 1987 - Mr. Bisel moved to approve these minutes. Mr. <br />Bohjanen seconded the motion. Mr. Stahlberg asked that the motion to <br />approve construction of the well house for well no. 2 be corrected to <br />include approval of advertising for bids. Mr. Bisel and Mr. Bohjanen <br />accepted this correction. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Februrav 27. 1987 - Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve these minutes as <br />presented. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />February 28, 1987 - Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve these Disbursements <br />as presented. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Mayor Benson asked Mrs. <br />Anderson if the disbursement for George Reiling was for acquiring <br />easement for the Rice Lake Estates improvement. Mrs. Anderson <br />explained this was the amount awarded to Mr. Reiling for condemnation <br />for easement purposes for that project. <br />Voting on the motion, motion carried unanimously. <br />March 9, 1987 - Mr. Bisel moved to approve these Disbursements as <br />presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Mayor Benson asked <br />Mr. Volk about the disbursement to Polar Chevrolet. Mr. Volk <br />explained this was for the S1O pickup authorized by the Council <br />through the Hennepin County bid. Mayor Benson asked Mr. Volk about <br />the disbursement to Muffler Doctor. Mr. Volk explained it is less <br />expensive to have certain types of this work done outside of the City <br />shop. <br />1 Page 1 <br />
