1 <br />1 <br />069 <br />COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 13, 1987 <br />Mr. Reinert asked Mr. Kluegel what the Planning and Board Zoning said <br />about the changes suggested by the Council. Mr. Kluegel said they are <br />aware of the changes and no comment was made. Mr. Bisel moved to <br />approve the second reading of Ordinance No. 07 - 87. Mr. Bohjanen <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Kluegel noted <br />that he is receiving a lot of requests for detached garages larger <br />than that allowed by the ordinance. <br />Ordinance No. 07 - 87 is printed in the March 23, 1987 Council <br />minutes. <br />SECOND READING - ORDINANCE NO. 08 - 87. EARTH SHELTERED HOMES <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve the second reading of this ordinance. <br />Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 08 -87 is printed in the March 23, 1987 Council minutes. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - IMPROVEMENT D. ERICKSON, 2ND ADDITION, RESOLUTION NO. <br />14 - 87, ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS. <br />Mayor Benson opened the public hearing at 7:45 P.M. Mr. Stahlberg <br />summarized the plat and displayed a map of the subdivision on the <br />overhead projector. He noted how the water mains would tie into the <br />existing City lines and that the sewer lines would extend to the Black <br />Duck lift station. The preliminary plat has been revised to take into <br />consideration the future development of lands to the west and south of <br />the plat. Mr. Stahlberg also noted that Mr. Erickson has purchased <br />additional land to the south for future subdivision. <br />Mr. Stahlberg pointed out that only limited building will be allowed <br />in the subdivision until the City has completed its comprehensive <br />sewer and water improvements. Therefore, Mr. Erickson has elected to <br />plat in phases. Phase I was outlined for the Council. Mr. Stahlberg <br />also pointed out the storm water retention areas. <br />Mayor Benson noted that since Mr. Erickson is the only landowner <br />involved in the improvement he has petitioned for waiver of fifty of <br />- the sixty day waiting period. A letter of credit to cover the cost of <br />plans and specifications has been received by Mr. Kluegel. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to close the public hearing at 7:50 P.M. Mr. Bohjanen <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to adopt Resolution No. 14 - 87. Mr. Bohjanen <br />seconded the motion. Mrs. Anderson read the Resolution.
