112 <br />COUNCIL MEETING MAY 11, 1987 <br />Update - St. Paul Water Works, Baldwin Lake Property - Mr. Schumacher <br />told the Council that St. Paul Waterworks decided to sell their <br />property on Baldwin Lake and asked this City if they would be <br />interested in the property. The Park Board offered $1.00 for the <br />property and this offer was refused. The property was offered for <br />bids and the ten acre parcel was sold to D. Patrick McCullough and the <br />entry road was divided and sold to adjoining landowners. <br />Update - Roland Ford - Mr. Kluegel has included in the Council packets <br />a memorandum listing the current status of this situation and <br />correspondence from the Anoka County Health Department and the <br />Department of Natural Resources. The PCA has been notified of the <br />situation, but unless heavy contaminates are present, they probably <br />will not get involved. Mr. Ford was suppose to have an engineer <br />prepare a plan and coordinate the permit activities with various <br />agencies. Mr. Kluegel did not know if this has been accomplished. <br />Mrs. Langfeld, County Commissioner will also keep on this matter. Mr. <br />Kluegel has signed another complaint and this will be delivered to the <br />judge tomorrow. <br />Mr. Brotton addressed the Council regarding the alleged transfer <br />station at the Ford property. Mr. Brotten said he has talked to Mr. <br />Christianson at the County Health Department who has told him that as <br />long as the containers do not contain materials, this would not be <br />considered a transfer station. He will keep the containers empty. <br />Update - Centerville Center Oaks Subdivision Drainage - Mr. Schumacher <br />has received a letter from the Centerville Mayor stating that <br />Centerville does concur with the research being done thus far and <br />would be receptive to any research or information the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District could supply. Rice Creek Watershed District will be <br />proceeding with this matter. <br />Confirmation of Reservations for League Conference - Mayor Benson and <br />Mr. Reinert will be attending this conference. Mr. Bohjanen will call <br />the office to let the staff know of his decision in this matter. <br />Set Up Finance Meeting for Proposed Water System - A meeting was set <br />for Monday, June 1, 1987 at 6:30 P.M. <br />Circle Pines Letter - The City has received a letter from Circle Pines <br />stating that they have approved the franchise and joint resolution <br />regarding the number of members on the Utility Commission. They have <br />requested that the Lino Lakes Commission Member attend the May 26, <br />1987 Commission meeting. <br />Mr. Marier moved to appoint Mr. Al Ross, past member of the gas <br />franchise negotiating team to the Circle Pines Utility Commission. <br />1 <br />
