140
COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 8, 1987
Mayor Benson asked about the Flannery Kennel License. Mr. Kluegel
explained that Mr. Flannery did not sell his property as planned and
now there is no need for the Kennel License.
ATTORNEY'S REPORT - BILL HAWKINS
Consideration of Two Applications for Gas Service to Lino Lakes
Industrial Park - Mr. Hawkins explained by ordinance both Circle Pines
Gas and North Central Gas has the right to service the Industrial
Park. The City Engineer has reviewed the applications from both
companies and now it is up to the landowner to choose which gas
company he wishes to serve this area. Mr. Schumacher noted that Mr.
Schilling the landowner prefers service from Circle Pines if they can
be competitive with North Central.
Mr. Marier moved to recommend to Mr. Schilling that he use Circle
Pines Gas Company. Mr. Hawkins told Mr. Marier that it is up to Mr.
Schilling to make this decision. The Council can only approve or
disapprove of the application. Mr. Marier withdrew his motion.
Mr. Bisel moved to approve the applications from Circle Pines Gas and
North Central Public Services. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC HEARING, ULMER'S RICE LAKE ESTATES THIRD ADDITION RE- ASSESSMENT
Mayor Benson opened the public hearing at 8:26 P.M. Mr. Davidson
explained Mr. Ulmer had applied for replatting of the Third Addition
into the Fourth Addition. However, Mr. Ulmer was not able to resolve
some easement issues and the Fourth Addition was not approved. The
assessment was then placed on the entire Third Addition but listed to
only one property identification number. This process tonight will
divide the assessment upon all lots in the Third Addition with the
exclusion of four lots already sold and will include four lots in the
Ulmer's Rice Lake Addition. An assessment roll has been prepared and
delivered to the Clerk.
Mayor Benson asked for comments from the audience. There were no
comments. Mr. Bisel moved to close the public hearing at 8:30 P.M.
Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Davidson explained that the interest for the first year is
included in the first years payment. This means that the interest
from the time the Council approved the assessment originally is
included in this assessment.
PAGE 8
