1
1
COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 8, 1987
Mr. Bisel said this appears to be lack of good neighborliness. He
felt screening was not unreasonable. He asked that Mr. Kluegel work
with Luther's to get a screening fence on Lois Lane and asked that Mr.
Kluegel make a recommendation regarding the backside of Luther's. Mr.
Bisel also felt signing would be appropriate to let customers know
where to park. He said he liked the business and would like them to
stay in Lino Lakes and be a good neighbor.
Mr. Bisel moved his recommendations in the previous paragraph and have
a report back to the Council within one month. Mr. Reinert suggested
that what is being proposed by Mr. Bisel is actually amending the
Conditional Use Permit and he felt the Planning and Zoning Board
should review the proposed changes before the Council takes action.
Mrs. Duncanson said that legally Mr. Duncanson cannot put any fences
on the property to the east until he received the permission of the
former Mrs. Duncanson. Mr. Reinert suggested that the Conditional Use
Permit holder take this matter back to the Planning and Zoning Board
so that the situation can be worked out. Mr. Bisel withdrew his
motion. Mr. Marier asked that the Planning and Zoning Board address
the underground gas tank situation, storage on the street and assembly
of boats outside of the confines of the fence. Mayor Benson asked that
the Board address display on the boulevard, especially the problem of
seeing southbound traffic. Mrs. Duncanson said she would have the
display moved closer to the building.
Mr. Bisel moved to continue the discussion of this Conditional Use
Permit until all the suggestions in the above paragraph have been
considered by the Planning and Zoning Board. Mr. Bohjanen seconded
the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
Item No.a 47 - William Krychinski, 7830 Lake Drive - Mayor Benson
asked if this business was still in operation. Mr. Kluegel said that
Mr. Krychinski occassionaly sells cars. Mayor Benson asked if the
proper screening was in place between this business and the park. Mr.
Kluegel said the trees had been planted.
Item No. 52 - Apitz Garage, 325 Birch Street - Mayor Benson asked
about exterior storage at this business. Mr. Kluegel said that paved
parking has been provided on the west side of the building. Mayor
Benson said he has noticed vehicles parked along the street again.
Mr. Kluegel said he would contact the owner regarding this situation.
Mayor Benson noted two semi trailers parked on private property on
Birch Street. Mr. Kluegel explained that one was at the Pat Berry
residence and contains household items while the Berry's are in the
process of rebuilding their home. The second trailer is on the former
Pudwell property. Mr. Kluegel said he has sent letters to the owner
of the trailer.
PAGE 7
139
