149 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 22, 1987 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order <br />at 7:04 P.M. by Mayor Benson. Council Members present: Marier, Bisel, <br />Bohjanen, Reinert. City Attorney, Bill Hawkins; Engineer, Ron <br />Stahlberg; Public Works Director, Don Volk; Building Inspector, Pete <br />Kluegel; Administrator, Randy Schumacher and Clerk- Treasurer, Marilyn <br />Anderson were also present. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Regular Council Meeting. June 8. 1987 - Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve <br />these minutes as presented. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Special Council Meeting, May 20. 1987 - Mr. Marier moved to approve <br />these minutes as presented. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried with Mr. Bohjanen abstaining. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />Mr. Bisel moved to approve the Disbursements of June 22, 1987 as <br />presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Mr. Marier asked why <br />the Disbursement was made to Mr. Schumacher for Mr. Reinert's hotel <br />room at the Rochester League of Minnesota Cities conference. Mr. <br />Schumacher explained when the reservations were made only one night <br />had been paid. Mr. Reinert was in the room more than one night and <br />rather than Mr. Reinert pay the bill and be reimbursed by the City, <br />Mr. Schumacher paid the bill and asked for reimbursement from the <br />City. Mr. Marier felt. Mr. Schumacher did not have the authority to pay <br />a Councilman's expenses. Mr. Marier was reminded that this expense <br />was authorized at a previous Council meeting and it would not matter <br />who paid the bill. <br />Voting on the motion, motion carried unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Al Ross. Circle Pines Gas Utility Representative - Mr. Ross explained <br />that the City of Circle Pines has not yet appointed their gas utility <br />representative. Mr. Ross has met with the Utility Commission and ex- <br />plained that there is discussion of buying gas on the open market. It <br />is felt that this would greatly reduce the gas costs to the consumer. <br />Mayor Benson thanked Mr. Ross for the information. <br />Herb Johnson. Cable Commission Revresentative -- Mr. Johnson explained <br />that he has sold his home in Lino Lakes and was moving out of the <br />City.
