1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 22, 1987 <br />II. <br />Save as above amended, said City Code shall stand as initially passed <br />and as previously amended. <br />This Ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its passage <br />and publication as required by the City Charter. <br />Passed by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this____day of July, <br />1987. <br />Mari <br />c <br />. Anderson, Clerk - Treasurer <br />enjami- G.Benson, Mayor <br />District Memorial Hospital Board - Mr. Marier noted that the Lino <br />Lakes elected member of the Hospital Board has moved out of the City <br />into Forest Lake. He has been informed by legal counsel from the <br />Hospital Board that as long as Mrs. Houle is living in the Hospital <br />District she can serve out her term. Mr. Marier moved to have <br />Jeannette Houle fulfill her persent term on the Hospital Board. Mr. <br />Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Arnold Kelling Correspondence - Mayor Benson has received a letter <br />from Mr. Kelling regarding some legislation of concern to Mr. Kelling. <br />Mayor Benson recommended that Mr. Kelling's letter be passed on to the <br />Economic Development Committee. <br />Reporter's Letter - Mayor Benson has received a letter from a reporter <br />from one of the local papers regarding a problem she has in getting <br />information from the staff. Mayor Benson said he has talked to Mr. <br />Schumacher about this situation. Mr. Schumacher explained that a <br />particular reporter calls the day after a meeting for further <br />information and the staff is usually in a staff meeting. Information <br />is available after a Council meeting or between 8:00 A.M. and 9:30 <br />A.M. the following morning or following the staff meeting which ends <br />about. 11:00 A.M. Mr. Schumacher also called the other two papers who <br />send reporters to Council meetings and they report no negative <br />comments. Mayor Benson said that one concern is that there are items <br />that come up after packets are prepared or are handed out at the <br />Council meeting and there are not enough copies for the reporters. He <br />asked that when this happens, enough copies be prepared so that the <br />PAGE 13 <br />
