COUNCIL MEETING JULY 13, 1987 <br />IIIsting Chairman Reinert called to order the regular meeting of the <br />Lino Lakes City Council at 7:05 P.M., Monday, July 13, 1987. Coun- <br />cilmen Marier and Bohjanen were present. Mayor Benson and Council- <br />man Bisel were absent. Also present were City Administrator, <br />Schumacher; City Engineer, Stahlberg; City Attorney, Hawkins; <br />Building Official, Kluegel; Public Works Director, Volk; and <br />Secretary, Foster. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES - June 22, 1987 <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the 6/22/87 Council minutes as presented. <br />Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion which carried unanimously. <br />CONDSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />June , 1987 - Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve the 6/30/87 disburse- <br />ments as presented. Mr. Marier seconded the motion which carried' <br />unanimously. <br />JULY 13, 1987 - Mr. Marier moved to approve the 7/13/87 disburse- <br />ments as presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion which carried <br />unanimously. <br />IIIPEN MIKE <br />None. <br />PARK BOARD REPORT (BMX TRACK) <br />Mr. Volk reported that the Park Board recommended at their last <br />meeting, elimination of the BMX track, leveling and seeding of the <br />site, due to the fact that proper insurance has not been obtained <br />after several months of working with track organizers and the <br />apparent lack of interest in continuing the BMX track. He stated <br />that he agrees with this recommendation and that leveling and seeding <br />of the site will be at City's expense. He thought that the <br />work required would cost. the City a couple hundred dollars, but that <br />money budgeted to maintain the track should cover the cost of elimin- <br />ation. <br />MOTION: Mr. Marier moved to eliminate the BMX track at Lino Park <br />based on the recommendation of the Park Board and Public Works <br />IDi. rector. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion which carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF REORGANIZING CLERICAL STAFF <br />Mr. Schumacher stated that at the last Council meeting, additional <br />nformation was requested with regard to consideration of reorgan- <br />AGE 1 <br />
