Council Members present:
Bisel, Marier, Bohjanen, Reinert. City Administrator, Randy
Schumacher and Clerk- Treasurer, Marilyn Anderson were also present.
City Engineer, Ron Stahlberg arrived at 6:30 P.M.
Rice Lake Estates - Mr. Schumacher explained that Mr. Arvid Gearman
owner of Rice Lake Estates called him several times to explain that
homes in this plat are not selling. He is requesting that the Council
issue him a variance to build stick built homes on the undersized lots
or if this is not feasible, replat to make the remaining lots R -1
sized rather than R -7 size. He suggested to Mr. Schumacher if neither
request were granted by the Council, then he would move in some "nice
looking" double wide homes. Mr. Schumacher told Mr. Gearman he would
let the Council know of this situation.
Mr. Reinert told the Council that the homes being marketed for this
area were overpriced. Homes in the range of $70,000 to $110,000 would
sell very well.
