COUNCIL MEETING <br />September 8, 1986 <br />IThe regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to <br />order at 7:04 P.M. by Mayor Benson. Members present: Marier, <br />Bisel, Bohjanen. Members absent: Reinert. City Attorney, Bill <br />Hawkins; Engineer, Ron Stallberg; Public Works Director, Don Volk; <br />Administrator, Randy Schumacher and Clerk - Treasurer, Marilyn An- <br />derson were also present. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />August 25, 1986 - Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve these minutes as <br />presented. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion carried with <br />Mayor Benson abstaining. <br />August 27, 1986 - Mr. Marier moved to approve these minutes as <br />presented. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion carried with <br />Mr. Bohjanen abstaining. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />001 <br />August 29, 1986 - Mr. Marier moved to approve these Disbursements <br />as presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />IIISeptember 8, 1986 - Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve these Disbursements <br />as presented. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion carried un- <br />animously. <br />OPEN MIRE <br />A. Margaret Langfeld - Mrs. Langfeld said she specifically wanted <br />to be here tonight to present the Council the Anoka County Board of <br />Commissioners Resolution #83 -62 concerning acquisition of park land <br />in the City of Lino Lakes. Mr. Marier thanked her for her deligency <br />and pursuation. <br />Mrs. Langfeld told the Council that there now has been two traffic <br />counts at Lake Drive and Main Street, one in 1984 and one in 1986. <br />These counts indicate that a traffic signal will be needed in two <br />years or less according to County criteria. This has been placed <br />in the County projects program. <br />Mrs. Langfeld noted receipt of the Council resolution requesting <br />Anoka and Ramsey County to upgrade County Road J (Ash Street) She <br />indicated that the County is making every effort to obtain addi- <br />tional highway funds or possibly do some bonding to get projects <br />such as this funded. She also indicated resolutions such as the <br />one just received do encourage County action. Mrs. Langfeld did <br />not indicate when the County would consider this request. <br />
