028
COUNCIL MEETING
September 22, 1986
Page Twelve
Schumacher noted he had sent a letter to the Fire District
out this issue and they responded by saying this was a Council
licy. He was curious to know why the Fire District has changed
Ls attitude. Mr. Benjamin said they considered this further be-
cause they were presented with the proposals.
Mr. Volk expressed his personal view that the police and fire person-
nel should continue their emergency training, but having the ambu-
lance based in town should cut response time drastically and what
should be considered is how fast that ambulance can reach the emer-
gency scene.
Mr. Bisel expressed his concern regarding the southeast portion of
Lino Lakes. He has talked to another provider regarding_providing
service to that area. Mr..Reinert felt this was an important issue
and asked for further time to study all concerns. Mr. Marier was
concerned because there has been a lot of talk but nothing has been
done. He is concerned about cutting response time and upgrading
emergency care services. Mr. Bisel suggested a representative of
911 to come to a Council Meeting and address the issue.
Mr. Bisel said he would go to Anoka County and check this problem
with Central Communications. He asked assuming that the service
would be added in the near furute, does the plans for remodeling
building include an area for ambulance. Mr. Volk will check
s.
The Council will discuss this matter further October 27, 1986 and
make a final decision.
CONSIDERATION;AND=APPROVAL`OF RESOLUTION #41-86, -CERTIFYING CERTAIN
DELINQUENT - UTILITY BILLS'TO THE COUNTY AUDITOR
Mr. Marier moved to adopt Resolution #41 -86 and dispense with the
reading. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 41 - 86
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK /TREASURER TO CERTIFY CERTAIN
DELINQUENT WATER AND SEWER UTILITY BILLS FOR COLLECTION WITH THE 1987
PROPERTY TAXES.
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code Chapter 400, Section 401.29 and
Chapter 402, Section 402.14, Subd. 5, the City Clerk-
/ Treasurer has prepared a list of residents who have de-
linquent sewer or delinquent sewer and water bills to
be certified to the Anoka County Auditor for collection
with the 1986 property tax statements, and
