1 BUDGET MEETING October 6, 1986 The Budget Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Benson. Council Members present: Marier, Bisel, Bohjanen, Reinert. Don Volk, Public Works Director, Marilyn Anderson, Clerk- Treasurer and Randy Schumacher, Administrator, were also present. Molin Concrete Right -of -Way The 4th Avenue Project has begun and utility companies are proceeding to move their lines from the right -of -way. There is a concern at Molin Concrete because Molin has stored materials on the area that has been taken by the City, for additional right -of -way. Molin has builtaddi- tional storage areas but they too are now full and there is no other place to move the material. Mr. Bill Molin asked for a time extension of one month for moving his material off of the right -of -way. He explained everything that is in storage is sold and they are waiting for drier weather so that the material can be moved to construction sites. Mayor Benson asked if the material could be moved to the building site now even though they are not ready for it. Mr. Molin said this is almost im- possible since there is usually very little area to store anything on site. Also, a part of Molin Concrete's job is to place the product on the building. Mr. Schumacher explained that a 30 -day delay in clearing the right -of -way would cause problems for the contractor be- cause there is a clause in the contractor's contract stating he will be fined if the job is not completed by a specified date. There was discussion of storing the finished product away from the Molin Concrete site but Mr. Molin explained this would not be practical because there would not be equip- ment available to load the material again. Mr. Schumacher will contact the contractor on this project and will get back with Mr. Molin on Tuesday. 1987 Budget Mr. Neal Benjamin, Lino Lakes Centennial Fire District Com- missioner,- was present.
