.a <br />054 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />November 24, 1986 <br />Installation of municipal water, sanitary sewer, streets, <br />curbs, gutters and storm sewers on property described as <br />follows; the southeast 14 of the southeast 14 of Section <br />29, Township 31, Range 22 and the northeast 14 of the north <br />east 1 of Section 32, Township 31, Range 22, City of Lino <br />Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, <br />And to assess the benefited property for all of or a por- <br />tion of the costs on the improvement, pursuant to Chapter <br />8 of the Lino Lakes Home Rule Charter; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO LAKES, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />That the proposed improvement be referred to the City En- <br />gineer for study and that he is instructed to report to the Council <br />with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way <br />as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether <br />it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other <br />improvement, and the estimated costs therefor which shall be set out <br />both in unit price and in total. <br />The estimated number of benefited property owners by such <br />improvement is one. <br />Adopted by the Council hi 4th day of November, 1986. <br />Marilyn G. Anderson, Clerk- Treasurer <br />jam G. Benson, Mayor <br />Lang Correspondence - Mr. Stahlberg explained that the Lang property <br />backs up to the holding pond for School Subdivision. There is no <br />outlet on this pond, therefore no way of getting water out of the <br />pond. There are a total of six parcels that abut this pond as well <br />as Aenon Street. Mr. Volk has been pumping the water to the north, <br />however those property owners have been complaining. Mr. Lang has <br />sent a letter to the Council outlining his problems caused by the <br />overflow of this pond. A petition has been received signed by the <br />adjoining property owners requesting the Council to take steps to <br />alleviate the flooding. <br />Mr. Stahlberg explained there are only two methods of providing an <br />outlet for the pond. The first is to continue pumping north toward <br />the county ditch. This method will bring continued opposition from <br />landowners to the north because it is just moving the problem to <br />another area. The second method is to provide a lift pump and pump <br />
