1 1 097 COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 23, 1987 explained that he has recommended that this code amendment be adopted to rectify the problem of small back yards on corner lots. The Planning and Zoning Board has recommended approval of this Ordinance. Mayor Benson asked about Mr. Joyer's concern when a house is built on a platted street that will not be constructed for some time. Mr. Miller said he felt that if this policy were established it would make staff work easier. Mayor Benson asked about the Uhde development, South Reshanau Shores which is being constructed in phases. What if a potentional lot purchaser wants to face his new home on a street that will not be constructed until the next phase is built. Mr. Miller said the house would have to face the constructed street. Mr. Marier moved to change Section 3 to read: "Corner houses shall face the improved street" and change the section now written as 3 to 4 and section 4 to 5 and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 21 - 87 as just amended. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. CITY OF LINO LAKES COUNTY OF ANOKA STATE OF MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO. 21 - 87 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, DESIGN STANDARDS FOR CORNER LOTS. The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota does ordain: Section 1. Delete Section 1001.08, Subdivision Design Standards, Subd. 6 (9). Corner Lots. The minimum lot width of a corner lot shall be twenty (20) feet greater than the required minimum lot width for the district. Add: Section 1001.08, Subdivision Design Standard, Subd. 6 (9). Corner Lots. The minimum lot width of a corner lot shall be 25 feet greater than the required minimum lot width for the district. Section 2. Delete Appendix B, Section 6, Subdivision 11 (3) (B) minimum lot width - corner lot: 85 feet. Section 3. Corner Houses shall face the improved street. Section 4.
