1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCII, MEETING JANUARY 11, 1988 <br />Mr. Bisel noted that this would insure that all surrounding <br />neighbors would be notified. <br />Voting on the motion, Mr. Bisel and Mr. Bohjanen voted no <br />and the motion failed. <br />Ordinance No. 06 - 87 can be found in the Council minutes <br />dated December 28, 1987. <br />1987 Annual Report - Mr. Kluegel has prepared a report and <br />this report was given to the Council in their packets. Mr. <br />Kluegel read his report. Mayor Benson_asked Mr. Kluegel <br />about the large piece of construction equipment at EMJ Pipe <br />Services. This item cannot be screened by the fence because <br />of its height. Mr. Kluegel said he would ask that this <br />piece of equipment be parked at the rear of the lot. <br />Mayor Benson told the Council that Mr. Kluegel does have a <br />problem with semitruck and trailer parking. Now the Council <br />has just voted down a proposed ordinance that would have <br />been of help and Mayor Benson asked that the Council work <br />with Mr. Kluegel to get him something that is workable. Mr. <br />Bisel said he is working with the City Planner and Building <br />Inspector and will pursue this matter. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Report of Anoka County Oak Wilt Seminar - Mr. Bohjanen <br />reported that he and Mr. Hoffman attended the seminar and <br />because of the weather it was not well attended. He noted <br />that funding is being requested from the legislature and <br />noted that the Governor has said he will support the <br />legislation. Mayor Benson asked that all matters previously <br />discussed by the Council be forwarded to Gregg Dahl for the <br />upcoming legislative session. <br />Update on Charter Meeting, December 30, 1987, Ordinance No. <br />23 - 87 Allowing for a Longer Period to have a Qualified <br />Resident's Name on the Municipal Election Ballot, First <br />Reading - Mr. Reinert moved to approve the first reading of <br />Ordinance No. 23 - 87 and dispense with the reading. Mr. <br />Bohjanen seconded the motion.
