WORK SESSION FEBRUARY 8, 1988 <br />Vacation <br />Union requested additional day <br />per year for every day of <br />service after 10 years. <br />The Council asked that the <br />vacation schedule remain as <br />is. <br />Floating Holiday Union requested adding one <br />floating holiday. <br />Equity in Park Dept. <br />Wages <br />The Council asked that this not <br />be added. <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that <br />the park employees feel they <br />should be paid wages closer to <br />the wages paid the maintenance <br />employees. The Union is re- <br />questing a 40 cents per hour <br />equity raise for park employees. <br />The Council asked that this be <br />reduced to 35 cents per hour. <br />The Union has asked for a 3 1/2% <br />increase for 1988 and 40 <br />increase for 1989. <br />The Council asked that this be <br />4% for 1988 and 4 %for 1989. <br />Heavy Equipment Class The Union has asked for 35 cents <br />per hour for each year. <br />The Council suggested a maximum <br />of 10 cents per hour for each <br />year. <br />Mr. Schumacher will keep the Council informed on the progess <br />of the negotiations with this Union. <br />PAGE 2 <br />
