CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 04 - 20 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS FROM THE CENTENNIAL <br />FIREFIGHTERS RELIEF ASSOCIATION TO PURCHASE A COMMAND VEHICLE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has a command vehicle that they want to sell. This vehicle <br />is a 1981 Chevrolet that has been converted to a command vehicle complete with <br />desks, radios and storage. The vehicle has very low mileage and an all aluminum <br />body; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department worked with the Centennial Fire District on <br />purchasing this vehicle and was previously approved to enter into a joint venture. <br />This vehicle would provide a place to work on larger incidents and could also be <br />used for emergency operations, police tactical operations, community events, <br />longer fire investigations, etc. <br />WHEREAS, the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in the following manner: <br />Increase Revenue - Contributions <br />Increase Expenditures- Police <br />Capital Outlay <br />$5,000.00 <br />$5,000.00 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council members, do hereby <br />accept the $5,000.00 to purchase the command vehicle and wishes to express its gratitude to the <br />Centennial Firefighters Relief Association for their generous donation. <br />• <br />Berg -' on, Mayor <br />
