• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 04 -134 <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION (MNDOT) CONDUCT A SPEED STUDY ON CITY <br />STREET <br />WHEREAS, Elmcrest Avenue, from the intersection of Anoka County Road 154 <br />to Anoka County State Aid Highway 14, is currently a gravel road shared with the <br />City of Hugo; and <br />WHEREAS, the speed limit is currently posted at 55 mph and the City believes <br />that a reduction in the posted speed limit should be considered, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo, on May 17th, 2004 passed a resolution requesting <br />that a speed study be conducted for the purpose of reducing the speed limit on <br />such roadway; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation sets the regulatory speed limit <br />on this street and <br />WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation may revise the speed limit on <br />certain streets upon completion of a speed study <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino <br />Lakes hereby requests the Commissioner of Transportation conduct a speed <br />study for the purpose of reducing the speed limit on Elmcrest Avenue, fro the <br />intersection of Anoka County Road 154 to the intersection of Anoka County <br />State Aide Highway 14. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th day of September, 2004. <br />
