There have been changes and the lot size will
conform to the new standards. The owner has submitted an
escrow to cover the cost of the study. Mr. Stahlberg
explained that he and Mr. Miller have been meeting with
current residents who may be affected by this subdivision.
Mayor Benson said he has received a call from one of the
residents who feels the City may be trying to do something
behind their backs. He suggested that a public hearing on
the plat be held soon so that the residents do not feel that
they are not being notified of the improvements in their
area. Mr. Schumacher noted that state law requires that
landowners within 350 of the improvement be notified. If we
follow this regulation there are some residents on Rice Lake
Drive to the north of the new subdivision who will not be
notified. Mayor Benson asked that all residents to Elm
Street be notified.
PAGE 6
