Motion carried
unanimously.
LaMotte Ditch Cleaning Quotes - Mr. Volk explained that he
has encountered several problems with this item. There were
six plan holders and only one quote was received. The quote
was more than twice as high as what RCWD has told. the City
they would pay. He asked that he be given time to negotiate
with the property owner of Lakeview Place and the developer
and RCWD. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion
carried unaniously.
Mr. Volk noted that the quote for the small ditch is
$1,590.00. This project consists of realigning the ditch
from LaMotte Road to Centerville Lake across Outlot A.
Channel Construction has presented this quote. Mr.
Stahlberg explained that he and Mr. Volk have discussed
constructing a shallow ditch in this area and not
constructing any catch basins but using bituminous
spillways. He felt this would work well. Mr. Stahlberg
recommended that this item be tabled until the next meeting
so that he can come back to the Council with some
alternatives.
Mr. Bisel moved to table this item. Mr. Reinert seconded
the motion.
