Mayor Benson also asked for a memorandum <br />to the Council on what needs to be done on this matter. <br />A detailed apparatus replacement schedule will also be <br />developed by the Fire Commission. This plan will be for a <br />five year period. Mr. Bruen noted it may be costly but the <br />plan is being developed so that there will be no peaks or <br />valleys in the budgets of the three cities. He also noted <br />that the Task Force felt the Fire District needed an <br />administrative assistant. <br />Other concerns being addressed by the Fire Commission are: <br />1) reorganize the Fire Commissions standing committees, 2) - <br />prepare a fire fighters compensation plan, 3) develop a plan <br />for a micro computer, 4) enhance roll of fire prevention. <br />Mr. Bruen noted that the Fire District has excellent morale <br />and likes what it is doing. <br />Mr. Bruen told the Council the Fire District now has a <br />contract with the Correctional Facility and plans to <br />complete a contract with the Anoka County Parks Department. <br />Mr. Bruen explained that he expects the Master Plan to be <br />completed by the end of July for the Councils to review. He <br />said he would be available if the Council had further <br />questions. <br />Mayor Benson asked that the Fire District submit a <br />preliminary 1989 budget by mid August and thanked Mr. Bruen <br />and Mr. Benjamin for attending this evening. <br />The work session concluded at 7:07 P.M. <br />These minutes were considered and approved at a regular <br />council meeting on July 25, 1988. <br />AkiPi \1161/LAJOnJ <br />MARILYN .
