136 <br />COUNCIL MEETING JULY 25, 1988 <br />Site Plan Review and Conditional Use Permit Request for <br />Orfei Contracting, Inc. - Set Public Hearing for August 22, <br />1988, 8:15 P.M. - Mr. Miller explained that the site plan <br />had been reviewed by the P & Z Board and several <br />recommendations had been made regarding berming, trees, <br />decorative blocks for building construction and also a <br />recommendation regarding the color of the building. Mr. <br />Bisel moved to accept the site plan for P & Z application <br />No. 88 -13 and 88 - 14 as presented and to stipulate that <br />the concrete blocks be colored. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to set the public hearing as noted above. <br />Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Minor Subdivision - Arnold Thies, Variance for Substandard <br />Lot - Mr. Miller explained that Mr. Thies is requesting a <br />variance to subdivide a parcel of one and one half acres of <br />land from his farm in the Rural District on 20th Avenue near <br />the Rehbein's Peltier View subdivision. There are two <br />dwellings on the property and one was used by a family <br />member until recently. Now the Thies' are left with two <br />dwellings and wish to sell one. Mr. Thies is willing to <br />dedicate the necessary easements for street and utility <br />purposes. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to approve this subdivison and variance with <br />the stipulation that a map of the easements be provided and <br />made part of the record. Mr. Neal seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Site Plan and Conditional Use Permit - V F W Post #6583 - <br />Set Public Hearing for August 22, 1988, 8:00 P.M. - Mr. <br />Bohjanen moved to set the public hearing for the CUP and the <br />proposed rezone of a portion of the lands. Mr. Neal <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Rezone of Land in Sections 29 and 32 from R -1 to RX - Set <br />Public Hearing for August 22, 1988, 7:45 P.M. - Mr. Bohjanen <br />moved to set the public hearing as noted above. Mr. Bisel <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />PARK BOARD REPORT - DON VOLK <br />Erickson's Second Addition, Park Development - Mr. Volk <br />showed the Council the layout of the proposed park for this <br />development.
