166 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />UGUST 8, 1988 <br />Benjam' G Benson, Mayor <br />_lL�...QiUU�L <br />M yn Anderson, Clerk- Treasurer <br />Resolution No. 61 - 88 Awarding Seal Cost Bids - Mr. <br />Stahlberg explained that bids were taken this morning at <br />10:00 A.M. and tabulated. He recommended that the Council <br />award the bid to the low bidder and approve Resolution No. <br />61 - 88. Mr. Stahlberg was asked if he had personal <br />knowledge of this company and if he checked references. Mr. <br />Stahlberg said that this is a company that has been in <br />business since 1956 but under another name. Mr. Bisel moved <br />to adopt Resolution No. 61 - 88 awarding the bid to Astech <br />Corporation for $33,974.85. Mr. Reinert seconded the <br />motion. It was noted that the budget for seal coating was <br />$40,000.00 and Mr. Schumacher explained that Mr. Volk may <br />add other streets to the program this year. Voting on the <br />motion, motion carried unanimously. <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 61 - 88 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR 1988 SEAL COAT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1988 <br />Seal Coat Program as outlined in Resolution No. 56 <br />- 88, bids were received, opened and tabulated <br />according to law, and the following bids were <br />received complying with the advertisement: <br />Astech Corporation <br />Allied Blacktop <br />Bituminous Roadways <br />$33,974.85 <br />$39,260.65 <br />$45,448.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Astech Corporation <br />of $33,974.85 is the lowest responsible <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />with a bid <br />bidder, <br />OF LINO <br />1. The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into the attached contract with <br />Astech Corporation, St. Cloud, Minnesota in the name <br />of the City of Lino Lakes for the 1988 Seal Coat Pro- <br />PAGE 13 <br />
