COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 13, 1989 <br />!)1 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called <br />to order by Mayor Benson at 7:00 P.M., Monday, March 13, <br />1989. Council Members present: Neal, Bohjanen, Bisel. <br />Council Members absent: Reinert. City Attorney, Bill <br />Hawkins; Engineer, Ron Stahlberg; Planner, John Miller; <br />Administrator, Randy Schumacher; Chief of Police, Dean <br />Campbell and Clerk- Treasurer Marilyn Anderson were also <br />present. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Work Session, February 27, 1989 - Mr. Bisel moved to approve <br />these minutes as presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Regular Council Meeting, February 27, 1989 - Mr. Bohjanen <br />moved to approve these minutes as presented. Mr. Neal <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />February 28, 1989 - Mr. Bisel moved to approve these <br />disbursements as presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />March 13, 1989 - Mr. Bisel moved to approve these <br />disbursements as presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the <br />motion. The disbursement to Kitty Shea was questioned. Mrs. <br />Anderson explained that Ms. Shea is a professional who helped <br />write the State of the City Address. The disbursement to <br />Minnesota Teamsters was questioned. Mrs. Anderson explained <br />that this is for union dues for Public Works employees. The <br />dues are deducted from each employee's pay check and then <br />sent to the Teamsters union. <br />The disbursement to Thomas Danielson was questioned. Mrs. <br />Anderson explained that Mr. Danielson is a new resident and <br />was billed incorrectly. This disbursement is a refund of the <br />overcharge on the October statement. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Mr. Al Ross, Lino Lakes Representative to the Circle Pines <br />Utility Commission - Mr. Ross appeared before the Council to <br />present the year end report of the Lino Lakes Franchise <br />operations and the 1989 Lino Lakes Franchise Budget. He <br />noted that the franchise will generate fees of approximately <br />$11,875.00 for 1988. He explained that 1988 went well and <br />more activity is expected in 1989. He felt that this is a <br />good utility and felt the future looks good. He noted that <br />there are no plans to add another Lino Lakes representative <br />to the Commission. It was noted that the franchise does <br />.provide for a formula to add representatives as the Lino <br />Lakes system grows. <br />
