COUNCIL MEETING <br />JULY 24, 1989 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called <br />to order by Mayor Benson at 7:00 P.M., Monday, July 24, 1989. <br />Council Members present: Neal, Bohjanen. Council Members <br />absent: Bisel, Reinert. City Attorney, Bill Hawkins; <br />Engineer, Ron Stahlberg and Dan Boxrud; Planner, John Miller; <br />Accountant, Paula Romocky; Public Works Director, Don Volk; <br />Administrator, Randy Schumacher and Clerk- Treasurer Marilyn <br />Anderson were also present. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Council Work Session, July 10, 1989 - Mr. Neal moved to <br />approve these minutes as presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br />- Mr. Bohjanen moved <br />Mr. Neal seconded the <br />- Mr. Bohjanen moved <br />Mr. Neal seconded the <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />July 24, 1989 - Mr. Neal asked if the replacement by Muffler <br />Doctor had a lifetime guarantee. Mr. Schumacher said yes. <br />Mr. Neal asked if the disbursement to McQueen Equipment was <br />for repair of the new sweeper. Mr. Schumacher said no. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve the disbursements as presented. <br />Mr. Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Wayne LeBlanc, representing the Peltier Lake Association <br />appeared before the Council to let them know that this <br />association has a one time opportunity to obtain a grant from <br />the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency sponsored through the <br />Clean Water Partnership Program. The grant would be used for <br />the purpose of developing a diagnostic study of the area <br />watershed. Mr. LeBlanc explained both the Centerville and <br />Peltier Lake Associations are interested in cleaning the <br />lakes and the Rice Creek Watershed District has agreed to <br />submit the application in behalf of the two lake <br />associations. An application was submitted earlier and <br />ranked 20th. Eleven applications were chosen. The grant <br />agency has asked to see more support from the community <br />regarding this application, possibly some financial <br />commitment or at least a letter supporting the study. Rice <br />Creek Watershed District will finance most of the <br />application. <br />Mayor Benson explained to Mr. LaBlanc that the Council will <br />
