Leg <br />COUNCIL MEETING OCTOBER 9, 1989 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino lakes City Council was called <br />to order by Mayor Benson at 7:00 P. M., Monday, October 9, <br />1989. Council Members present: Neal, Bohjanen, Reinert and <br />Bisel. Council Members absent: none. Acting City Attorney, <br />John Burke; City Engineer, Ron Stahlberg; Public Works <br />Director, Don Volk and Clerk- Treasurer, Marilyn Anderson were <br />also present. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Council Budget Meeting, September 25, 1989 - Mr. Bisel moved <br />to approve these minutes as presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Regular Council Meeting, September 25, 1989 - Mr. Reinert <br />moved to approve these minutes as presented. Mr. Bisel <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />September 29, 1989 - Mr. Bisel moved to approve these <br />Disbursements as presented. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />October 9, 1989 - Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve these <br />Disbursements as presented. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Reinert noted a purchase from Bumper to Bumper for $71.70 <br />for a battery. He asked if the City purchased supplies and <br />materials at wholesale rates. Mr. Volk explained that all <br />such materials were purchased at wholesale prices and /or <br />"jobber" prices. "Jobber" prices are usually only applicable <br />for quantity purchases since these prices are below wholesale <br />cost. Mr. Volk noted that availability of the material is <br />another consideration when deciding where to place the order. <br />Mr. Volk explained that the expense mentioned by Mr. <br />Reinert was for material in addition to the battery. <br />However, only the battery was mentioned on the Disbursement <br />listing. <br />Mr. Bisel explained that he felt the City should buy their <br />materials in Lino Lakes whenever possible. He noted that the <br />business people who pay taxes in Lino Lakes should get the <br />business fru:n ',he City. <br />Voting on the motion, motion carried unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />No one appeared under Open Mike. <br />PARK BOARD REPORT - DON VOLK <br />First Reading, Ordinance No. 08 - 89 Prohibiting Motorized <br />Vehicles on Public Grounds Designated as Trails - Mr. Volk <br />
