1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />OCTOBER 8, 1990 <br />Volk extended an invitation to all of the Council to attend <br />this meeting. He explained that it was a very important <br />"first step" in establishing a comprehensive park plan for <br />this City. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 74 - 90 <br />ASSESSING DELINQUENT SEWER AND WATER BILLS, MARILYN ANDERSON <br />Mrs. Anderson explained that the resolution lists only those <br />accounts that are two (2y. or more quarters in arrears. If <br />any are paid prior to October 15, 1990, they will be <br />eliminated from the list.- Council Member Neal moved to <br />approve Resolution No. 74 - 90. Council Member Reinert <br />seconded the motion. On a roll call vote, motion carried. <br />Council Member Kuether was absent during the vote. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Centerville Police Contract Update - Mr. Schumacher explained <br />that on October 5, 1990 he had met with the City of <br />Centerville and a mediator. A proposal was prepared by the <br />mediator for the Lino Lakes Council to consider. Later in <br />the day, Mr. Schumacher met with the Council in a work <br />session. The Council had directed him to contact Centerville <br />with a proposal and bring Centerville's response back to the <br />Council. Mr. Schumacher explained that he expected a <br />response from Centerville by midweek and would let the <br />Council know Centerville's reaction to the proposal is. <br />Clarification of Squad Car Acquisition, Marilyn Anderson - <br />Mrs. Anderson explained that the squads car had been <br />purchased and delivered. It is expected that the <br />disbursement for both squad cars will appear on the October <br />22, 1990 Disbursement Listing. Council Member Reinert wanted <br />it clear that the other provision of the Council action was <br />that neither squad car would be put in service until the <br />first of the year. Council Member Neal explained that this <br />may not be a good idea because the two (2) new squads could <br />help reduce the buildup of mileage on the older squads. <br />Council Member Reinert felt it would be too tempting to take <br />a new squad rather than an old squad and the City would end <br />up with five (5) squads with high mileage. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Consideration and Approval of Adding Juran and Moody to the <br />Lino Lakes Investment Schedule - City Accountant, Paula <br />Schloer presented this request to the City Council. Council <br />Member Neal moved to approve this request. Council Member <br />Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Renewal Application for Gambling, National <br />Multiple Sclerosis Society - Mrs. Anderson explained that <br />this organization is operating from Lee's of Lino Lakes and <br />PAGE 5 <br />045 <br />
