275 <br />COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 25, 1991 <br />has filed the proper petition with the Minnesota Municipal Board <br />(MMB) to detach her property from the City of Centerville and <br />annex it to Lino Lakes. To facilitate the action the MMB is <br />requesting a resolution from Lino Lakes supporting these actions. <br />Mr. Miller noted that Ms. Peterson is interested in subdividing <br />her property. This request was denied by the City of <br />Centerville. <br />Council Member Kuether asked if Ms. Peterson's petition to <br />become a part of Lino Lakes is contingent upon approval of her <br />subdivision request? Mr. Miller said that this is something that <br />has been discussed with Ms. Peterson. Council Member Reinert <br />said that the approval of the resolution has to be based upon the <br />knowledge that this City cannot subdivide her property under the <br />present City Code. <br />Council Member Neal moved to approve Option No. 1 as recommended <br />by the City Planner in his "green sheet" dated February 22, 1991. <br />Council Member Neal seconded the motion. On a roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 16 - 91 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Metropolitan Center for Individual Living - Council Member Neal <br />explained that this group is in the process of looking for an <br />area to build a handicapped housing facility. He has suggested <br />that they look at property located on Lake Drive in the vicinity <br />of the green houses. This would be a good location since it is <br />on a bus line. Council Member Neal asked two (2) Council Members <br />to attend a meeting with him with this group on May 7, 1991 from <br />3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. here at city hall. Council Member Neal <br />will put all necessary information together for the Council. <br />PERA Benefits For Council Members - Mr. Schumacher said that he <br />would like the Council to meet at 5:30 P.M., Monday, March 11, <br />1991 to discuss this matter. A representative from PERA will be <br />here to provide the necessary information. <br />Assessments, Centennial School District - Mr. Schumacher <br />explained that Centennial School District will support their <br />assessments for their property on Birch Street near the <br />Brandywood Estates improvement. Confirmation by letter will be <br />forth - coming. <br />Off -Sale Liquor License - Council Member Neal said that he and <br />Mr. Miller will be meeting with the people who plan to establish <br />a new off -sale liquor store in the Tom Thumb store.
