1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 28, 1988 <br />three cities involved in the JPA can disband the Fire <br />Department. Mayor Benson asked that the letter say that <br />Lino Lakes in not unhappy with the service, we are unhappy <br />with the formula and if an agreement cannot be reached, we <br />will have our own fire department in place. <br />Mr. Neal moved to notify Circle Pines and Centerville of the <br />intent of the Lino Lakes Council and give a one year notice <br />and determine what can be worked out by the cities and have <br />this process completed by May 31, 1989. Mr. Bisel seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Bisel asked that the Mayors comments be included in the <br />press articles. <br />ENGINEER'S REPORT - RON STAHLBERG <br />80th Street Improvement, Resolution No. 83 - 88 - Mr. Bisel <br />moved to approve Resolution No. 83 - 88. Mr. Reinert <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83 - 88 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has applied to the Comm- <br />issioner of Transportation for a grant from the <br />Minnesota State Transportation Fund for the re- <br />construction of City Bridge No. L -8158 over <br />Hardwood Creek; and <br />WHEREAS, the application for the grant has been approved by <br />the Minnesota Department of Transportation in a <br />letter dated May 3, 1988; and <br />WHEREAS, the amount of the grant has been determined to be <br />$70,247.12, by reason of the lowest responsible <br />bid. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the City of Lino Lakes <br />does hereby affirm that any cost of the bridge in excess of <br />the grant will be appropriated from funds available to the <br />City of Lino Lakes, and that any grant monies appropriated <br />for the bridge but not required, based on the final estimate <br />shall be returned to the Minnesota State Transportation <br />Fund. <br />PAGE 8 <br />
