The bid for Division III was held
until August 15, 1991 to allow the MWCC to consider participating
in the project and eliminating Lift Station L -9 (Shenandoah Lift
Station).
MWCC has adopted a resolution authorizing an agreement with the
City of Lino Lakes to pay the City for the construction of a
local trunk sewer that will phase -out MWCC lift station L -9. A
copy of the draft agreement was included in the Council packet.
Resolution No. 74 - 91 would authorize the City to enter into an
agreement with the MWCC.
Mr. Schneider explained the background on this matter and his
negotiations with MWCC. He explained that this would be a
"win /win" situation because the City will get Division III
constructed by MWCC and MWCC will eliminate a lift station from
their structure. Mr. Schneider also noted that MWCC has been
drafting a new facilities plan which probably will be adopted in
September, 1992. This plan will determine where the permanent
lift station will be constructed. Mr. Schneider will be working
with MWCC on this matter. MWCC is committed to picking up Lino
Lakes gravity flow whether it be from the Laurene Avenue lift
PAGE 3
