J° <br />station or from a new lift station constructed on Ware Road. <br />Council Member Bohjanen moved to adopt Resolution No. 74 - 91. <br />Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 75 - 91 Award Bid, Division III, Reshanau Lake <br />Trunk Sewer Improvement - Mr. Schneider prepared a list of the <br />bids received for the Reshanau Lake Trunk Sewer Improvement. He <br />noted that Arcon Construction was awarded the bid for Divisions I <br />and II. He also noted that bidding documents for this project <br />stated that the City intended to award all of the project to one <br />(1) bidder. Mr. Schneider noted that Arcon Construction was not <br />the low bidder on Division III, however, they were the low bidder <br />for the overall project. He explained that MWCC understands this <br />and that it is more efficient for the contractor working on the <br />deep construction with dewatering to work continuously to <br />complete the project. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to adopt Resolution No. 75 - 91 <br />awarding the bid for Division III to Arcon Construction for <br />$100,557.12. Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 75 - 91 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, ELEVATED WATER STORAGE IMPROVEMENT <br />Acting Mayor Reinert opened the public hearing at 7:03 P.M. Mr. <br />Schneider used the overhead projector and presented four (4) <br />exhibits on this matter. The first exhibit was of the service <br />area for this improvement. It was noted that the elevated water <br />storage structure would be constructed in the Lino Industrial <br />Park. The second exhibit was of two (2) elevated water storage <br />units; the fluted column style and the spheroidal style. Mr. <br />Schneider noted that bids will be received for a 750,000 gallon <br />and 1,000,000 gallon storage unit for both style. The third <br />exhibit detailed the estimated cost for each style. He noted <br />that there will only be two (2) serious bidders in this project <br />since this is a very specialized field. The fourth exhibit was a <br />time schedule for the project. He noted that later this evening <br />he will be asking the Council to approve plans and specifications <br />for this improvement and advertisement for bids. <br />Mr. Schneider noted that there is a firm owned by a Lino Lakes <br />resident who specializes in a plasticizing application. He has <br />been in contact with this company and they plan to become a sub - <br />bidder in this improvement to provide a plastic like finish for <br />the unit. <br />Acting Mayor Reinert asked if it were possible to test water in <br />advance of use to determine if it will need treatment for <br />PAGE 4 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
