i0
June 11, 1974
Mr. Burandt read the first paragraph and agreed that it was very badly worded
but did not give a satisfactory explanation.
The remainder of the paragraphs were read and discussed with the Council feeling
that these statements are very misleading and capricious.
Mr. McLean asked where Mr. Burandt got his figures as to projected population
growth? Are they projected as to how they want the area to grow? Mr. Burandt said
this was not the case. Mr. McLean replied that this fact is a matter of records of
minutes.
There was discussion with the Centerville Council. They asked if the City is
sewered through Forest Lake interceptor, would Centerville be required to oversize
its lines in order to provide service to that portion of Lino Lakes that the lines
would run through?
Mr. Burandt said, No, that the consideration to sewer the Eastern part of Lino Lakes
would not be considered. Maybe a quarter mile or so on either side of County road
14 and 135E but that was all.
There was discussion of the problem of crossing under the Freeway, the size of
the lines and the number of lift stations necessary.
Mr. Burandt said that an interceptor could not be built into Lino Lakes because
this community is the end of the line and would only be brought to the City limits.
Any construction from there would be the responsibility of the municipality. This
would hold true for the North Road interceptor as well as the one from County Road
J and Lexington. This is because the portion of the line within Lino Lakes is not
considered an interceptor but a collector. The Clerk felt that the Cities of Lino
Lakes and Centerville are being penalized because they happen to be the end of the
line.
Mr. Zelinka moved to adjourn at 10:00 p.m. Seconded by Mr. (Jaworski. Aye.
,'
The minutes were approved at the June 24, 1974 meeting.
Clerk-Treasurer
