1 1 June 24, 1974 The application of Stanley Thayer of the Blue Heron was considered. All papers were in order. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. The application of the Nathe Brothers for the "49 Club" was in order. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve the applications. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. Mr. Locher said the new ordinance for a cabaret license should be considered before the State Liquor Commission calls us about it. The Clerk was asked to put this on the agenda for July 8, 1974. There was no old business. Under new business, Mr. Jaworski questioned the withholding of Social Security from his payroll check. The Clerk said that the Social Security office had informed her that this must be withheld from his check because of the year he was elected. Mr. Zelinka suggested that on the requisition the "deliver to" line on the form be filled in. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve requisitions #447 through and including #450. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. Mr. McLean questioned Checks #5822, 23 and 24. Why is the City liable for these hospital bills? Mr. Locher explained that our Police Department had taken the man to the hospital and requested the treatment. Mr. Locher thought we could take him to concillation -court and recover this amount, but that we should wait for 90 days from the date of the incident. The Clerk was instructed to contact the hospital and ask if they will wait for payment for that length of time. Mr. Marier so moved. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. Mr. Jaworski moved to pay bills with checks #5811 through and including #5838, with- holding #'s 5822, 5823 and 5824. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried. Mr. Jaworski moved to approve payroll checks #2431 through and including #2457. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried. Mr. Marier moved to adjourn at 11:15 p.m. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Aye.
