22 <br />June 24, 1974 <br />Mr. Zelinka announced that the Personnel Commission will meet Tuesday, July 2, 1974 <br />at 8:00 p.m. He asked the Clerk to send notices to all members reminding them of <br />this meeting. <br />Mr. Bohjanen asked the Clerk to read a letter from Mr. Carlo Sooger, Director of <br />Special Education at Centennial Schools, giving the figures requested at his last <br />appearance as to the number of Lino Lakes children enrolled in the summer recreation <br />program. This information is in connection with the $1,000.00 in last years budget <br />for the Community Education Program. Mr. Zelinka moved to send this money to School <br />District #12. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Bohjanen reported on the observation of UN Day and said that he will name a <br />chairman at the next Council meeting. <br />He also reported on the appreciation day for Mr. Honsey of the MSB. All members had <br />received copies of this. <br />Mr. Bohjanen had received information on the Bi- Centennial celebration. Discussion <br />as to the extent of our participation and if we should subscribe to the book listed. <br />Mr. McLean thought we could participate without getting that involved. Mr. Bohjanen <br />will present a name for chairman of the celebration. <br />Mr. Bohjanen asked Mr. Locher to give a report on the meeting with the Development <br />Framework Committee. Basically, the same arguments that Mr. Burandt had presented <br />at the spedial meeting on June 11, 1974 were repeated. There seemed to be no change <br />in attitude. There will be a meeting with the Metro Council on June 27, 1974. Mr. <br />Locher, Mr. Carley, Mr. Gotwald and whatever Council members are able will attend <br />this meeting. <br />Mr. McLean moved to authorize these men to attend the Metro Council meeting for the <br />City of Lino Lakes. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Bohjanen asked the Clerk to read a letter from Mr. Glen Rehbein requesting to <br />be allowed to install the mains and laterals in a portion of Shenandoah. The Council <br />felt that action on this request should be delayed until after the meeting on <br />Thursday. Mr. Jaworski moved to put this request on the agenda for July 8, 1974. <br />Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried. Mr. Marier asked for a copy of this letter. <br />Mr. Locher had checked the applications for liquor licenses and other licenses. <br />The application of the V.F.W. Club was in order. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve. <br />Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. <br />The Hemauer application was in order. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve. Seconded by Mr. <br />Marier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. LeVessuer's application for On and Off sale 3.2 was in order. Mr. Jaworski moved <br />to approve this application. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />The application of Henry Speiser for Off sale 3.2 at Hank's Superette was in order. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />The application of Lawrence Cichy of the Oasis. The question of residency came up. <br />Mr. Myhre said that he owns a residence in the City. Whether he lives there all the <br />time or not he doesn't know. He listed 897 Main Street as his residence on the <br />application. Mr. Jaworski moved to approve this application providing the require- <br />ments of the Ordinance is met. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried with Mr. Marier <br />Abstaining. <br />
