1 <br />July 8, 1974 <br />Mr. Locher read a report from the City Fire Marshall that Joe LaCasse Jr. is in <br />violation of the Fire Code by having a 560 gallon gas tank above the ground. Mr. <br />McLean moved to have the State Fire Marshall inspect this violation. Seconded by <br />Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />There was a request by Henry Rosengren to review the "Off Sale" ordinance amending <br />the separate entrance. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to delete the separate exterior entrance and allow the doorway <br />to be in the interior wall. Also "Off Sale" to be sold only in established area. <br />Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. <br />Cabaret license was tabled until the Sept. meeting. <br />3.2 Ordinance was tabled until the Sept. meeting. <br />June 27, 1974 the Metropolitan Council rejected the construction of an interceptor <br />across nearly the entire Municipality of Lino Lakes. <br />The Metropolitan Council decided to build the Lino Lakes interceptor only as far as <br />the southwestern corner of the City. Centerville would be served by line running <br />west from the Forest Lake interceptor. This would mean that Lino Lakes could not use <br />a metropolitan interceptor as a locsl line to serve the Country Lakes development <br />and would have to pa °,r the cost of connecting the development to the interceptor. <br />Mr. Jaworski asked if Mr. Locher and Mr. Gotwald would give a report on this <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Locher reported on the meeting of June 27, 1974 with the Metropolitan Council <br />as such: <br />Mr. Gotwald, Mr. Carley and myself were at this hearing. We were suppose to be <br />heard at 1:30 p.m. and didn't get on until 4:20 p.m., Mr. Gellette presided at <br />the hearing. Mr. Boland and Mr. Gramm were absent. <br />Mr. Gillette announced that we weren't allowed to interpose any evidence because <br />the committies that had been established has heard it all. <br />Mr. Kegler spoke and read paragraphs 3, 4 and 5 from Mr. Burandt's recommendation. <br />Mr. Kegler made a motion to follow the recommendations of staff. It was second. <br />Mr. Locher read a letter from Robert Burman, dated June 27, 1974 and a letter <br />from Ed Field recommending the passage of the Lino Lakes - Centerville inter- <br />ceptor. <br />Mr. Kozlak amended the motion. Seconded by Mrs. Kreber. The main motion went <br />and was passed 10 to 2. <br />Mr. Locher read the letter's from 1) Mr. Hoffstead, dated July 18, 1971, refering <br />to the interceptor for Lino Lakes. 2) Mr. Honsens that there will be an interceptor. <br />Mr. Locher said that they were not allowed to rebute anything or have any questions <br />asked of them. Also that the Metropolitan Council won't listen to anyone but staff. <br />Mr. Gotwald stated that Mr. Burandt had 45 minutes to speak and we were lucky to <br />have 10 minutes. <br />
