Mr. Marier asked that
the minutes show that he did not attend the last meeting due to a wrong
date of Octoberl8, 1974 in place of October 17, 1974 being in the letter
he received. He asked the amount of the total budget and was told that
the figure of $289,659.00 was agreed to by the Council. He asked what was
the increase over last year. Had a comparison to last year's budget been
made?
The total figure for the 1974 budget was $199,930.00 - this year's budget
levy is less that 33,000.00 more than last year. Mr. Marier added the
Federal Revenue Sharing to this figure for a total increase of $64,904.00.
Mr. Jaworski moved to approve the budget minutes as presented and with Mr.
Marier's additions. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried with Mr. Marier
abstaining.
The Clerk presented a financial statement in reference to the status of
the Temp. Bonds of 1971. Receipts total $595,611.88; Disbursements total
$565,441.75; leaving a balance of $31,170.13 in the reserve fund.
The Clerk asked the Council what figure should be used to bill Centerville
for the remaining 5 months of 1974 for Police Coverage. The minutes of the
July 8, 1974 meeting said that this per captia cost should be refigured for
these last five months. Mr. Marier felt that the increase in gas, increase
in coverage, increase in equipment cost definitely warranted a cost increase
in the per capita figure. After some discussion, the Clerk was instructed
to use the figure of $5.00 per capita for the remainder of 1974. Mr. Zelinka
so moved. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried.
Mr. Gotwald had called the Clerk to report that his analysis of the
sewer report as presented by Mr. Burandt was complete.
