u u <br />1 <br />January 13, 1975 <br />Mayor Bohjanen would recommend that Mr. Gerald Clausen be recommended to <br />the Anoka County Park department as a member on the Anoka County Advisory <br />Board for development of the Chain' of Lakes Park. Mr. Marier so moved. <br />Seconded by Mr. McLean. Aye. <br />The Clerk read a letter from Anoka County Deparment of Parks offering the <br />City $500.00 for the land located on Main Street just North . snf the <br />Creek. this parcel is part of the Chain of.Lakes Open Space Acquisition. <br />Mr. Marier asked if the County can condemn City owned property. Mr. Locher <br />said, Yes, the State can take from the County, the County from the City. <br />He had contacted Mr. Parta on this since it is held under a tax title <br />that is not marketable. A clear title will have to be obtained. <br />After some discussion, Mr. Zelinka moved to reject the offer and to inform <br />the Anoka County Park Board of this decision. Seconded by Mr. Marier. <br />Motion carried. <br />The Clerk reported there is $15,300.00 in Certificates of Deposit <br />credited to the Metro Sewer Board Fund that was acquired through water <br />and sewer hook -up charges in the Country Lakes area. Mr. Jaworski felt that <br />these funds should be transferred to the Water and Sewer Operation Fund in <br />order to bring that department out of the red. After some discussion, Mr. <br />Jaworski so moved to transfer $15,300.00 from the Metro Sewer Fund to the <br />Water and Sewer Operation Fund. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />A notice of the SRA Annual Meeting had been received. Since the Council <br />had voted not to particiapte in this orginazation, there was no action to <br />be taken. <br />The Clerk reported receipt of $146.50 in municipal fines; $2,272.46 in <br />State Aidfor Police Department; Federal Revenue Sharing in the amount of <br />$8,007.00 <br />The Department of Highways had written requesting a copy of the most <br />recent land use zoning maps. The Clerk was instructed to mail a copy of <br />the Comprehensive Land Use Map. <br />Mayor Bohjanen had received a copy of a letter appointing Mrs. Pat Sando <br />of Circle Pines to the Chain of Lakes Advisory Committee. <br />The Clerk received notice from the Anoka County Social Service that any <br />applications received for Foster Care License or Day Care License will <br />require that the affected community receive notification of the application <br />A copy of the 1975 Metropolitan Council Work Program and Budget had been <br />received. Each Councilman has a copy. <br />Mr. Art Hawkins had received a request from the City ofNorthfieldd seeking <br />assistance in th establishing of their Enviornmental Quality Commi -ssion <br />Since the City has no such Commission, it was suggested that they be <br />referred to the Metropolitan Council for assistance. <br />The League of Minnesota Municipalites had written offering an eight <br />month membership in that orginazation for $303.00.
