108 <br />January 27, 1975 <br />The committe was asked to formulate some ideas as to the type and size <br />in order to give a draftsman some idea of what is being considered. <br />These drawings will be used to compute costs for construction. There <br />will be more on this at subsequent meetings. <br />Mr. Zelinka reported on the meetings of the Personnel Commission. All <br />Council members have copies of the minutes of those meetings. Mr. McLean <br />moved to table this recommendation until the February 10, 1975 meeting <br />in order to give the Council members time to study the Personnel <br />Commission's proposals in the area of salaries. Seconded by Mr. <br />Marier. Motion carried. <br />The Council also requested that the job descriptions be completed. Mr. <br />Zelinka requested that the Clerk copy portions of the 1974 Salary Survey and <br />mail to the Council and the Personnel Commission. Mr. Zelinka also <br />reported on the consideration of the insurance plans. Four had been <br />presented and after much questioning and discusion, the Commission had <br />recommeded the policy offered by Gamble - Alden. <br />This is also to be considered at the next council meeting. The <br />Clerk was insturcted to put these two items on the agenda. Mr. <br />Zelinka also requested the Clerk to contact the surrounding Cities <br />as to how they "handle 'their portion of the insurance. <br />Mr. Jaworski' reported that Mr. Robert Pearson of the Metropolitan. <br />Transit Commission had called. The work of this commission is completed <br />and the commission no longer exists. He did send a report to Mr. Jaworski <br />which indicated the service in the area will basically remain as it is <br />at the present time. The area adjacent to Sunset and North Road and <br />South on Highway 49 will remain as it is now. Mr. Jaworski asked the <br />Clerk to mail a copy of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan to Mr. Pearson <br />with a cover letter noting the pages that deal with the transit plans <br />of this City. <br />Mr. Volk had obtained four bids for the replacement of the snow plow. <br />AFter discussion of thse bids, Mr. Marier moved to purchase the <br />Wausau plow at the bid price of $2,310.00 (the anticipated $1,1700.00 <br />to be received from the insurance to be applied to this cost.) Sec- <br />onded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Tobish, who has a trailer parked illegally on Highway 49, appeared <br />before the Council seeking a special Use Permit to park the tailer in <br />that location for a period of two years. He ,plansi to use this trailer <br />for expermintation purposes in the development of skirting, heating and <br />humidifying. He stated the trailer would be removed by June of 1977. <br />Mr. Locher said the case is scheduled for Court on February 7, 1975. <br />This property is zoned commercial; Mr. Tobish has cleaned up the area <br />with only two vehicles remaining which Mr. Tobish will license; the <br />unit will not be used as a residence. <br />Mr. McLean said in the matter of a special use permit - this request <br />must be heard by the Planning and Zoning Board before the Council can <br />take any action on such a request. <br />Mr. Locher agreed and said that he could get a postponment of the trial <br />if this is the wish of the Council. <br />
